Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
